The program will include a training camp in either Spain or Portugal
Manager Gyorgy Mezey has began to put together a busy winter pre-season program, to make sure that his squad is fully prepared for the spring season, which kicks off towards the end of February. His side are seven points ahead in the Monicomp league division one table, and he will be anxious to make sure that they are well prepared, and will start the second half of the season, in the best shape possible. The squad will return back to training on the 10th January and spend the first week training in Szekesfehervar. Various fitness tests will be taken over the course of the pre season period, in order to make sure that the Vidi players are in top condition.
The one week training period in Szekesfehervar will be followed by a few days in the Hungarian mountainous region of Mátra (pictured left), with one of its mountains being the highest point of Hungary. A further training camp in either Spain or Portugal is also being worked on at the moment. The squad spent ten days in Turkey last winter, but this time they will head south west, and be certain to train in sunny conditions.
Videoton have also arranged the first of several pre season friendly matches when Slovakian side, Slovan Bratislava visit the Sostoi stadium on Wednesday 26th January 2011.
