2010 has been one of the most successful for the club

JANUARY
4th - The first real news of the new year, on the official club website, has a title "Videoton's attendances grew the most over autumn". According to the European football statistics.co.uk site, crowds at the Sostoi stadium grew on average by 1500 over the autumn 2009 season, compared to that of 2008-09.

6th - Youngster Csaba Ponczok is training with the first team squad. It was an important event as the former Puskas Academy player, was now in a group of the best youngsters in Hungary. 

14th - The marketing side of the football club continues to grow as it appears on social network sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and has its own Youtube side as well. 

14th - Zsolt Dveri announces his retirement from football. He had become a Vidi legend over the previous ten years, and he had decided to take up the offer from manager Gyorgy Mezey, which would include helping the youth players develop.

18th - Videoton FC provided the most players to the Olympic national side, who were training at the their Antalya training camp in Turkey. Manager Sandor Egervari called up Szakaly, Elek and Lazar. Another youngster to make that squad was recent signing, Andor Margitics, who had recently joined from Ujbuda. That squad also included two MTK players, Andras Gosztonyi and Laszlo Lencse, who would both go on to join Videoton.

24th - The Sostoi stadium continues to be improved, with seating being put in to some sections of the stadium, to take the overall capacity up to a 14,300 all seater stadium.

26th - The squad is strengthened further with young striker Laszlo Lencse signing on the dotted line. 

FEBRUARY
1st - Some members of the coaching staff head off to Turkey, to plan ahead for the squad's training camp in Belek. Just like the Olympic side, Videoton would also be spending a couple of weeks preparing for the spring season ahead. 

22nd - Gabor Demjen, who joined the club from Debrecen 6 months earlier, joins Ujpest on a half year loan basis.

27th - The team kicks off the spring season with a 2-0 home win over Kecskemet.

MARCH
3rd - The Hungarian national side draw 1-1 with Russia, while the U21 lose 0-2 in Rieti, Italy at the start of the month. The U19 side also go down 1-0 in Croatia. All three national sides include Videoton players. Then Hungarian manager Erwin Koeman picks Gabor Horvath for the game, while U21 manager, Sandor Egervari call's up Pal Lazar, Akos Elek and Laszlo Lencse. The U19 side includes Andor Margitics.

6th - A Nemanja Nikolics goal away at Diosgyor, is enough to bring back all three points in a league game. 

13th -Videoton win three league games in a row at the start of the spring season. The opening games with Kecskemet, Diosgyor and Papa results in a 9 point haul. Even more impressive was the fact that the team didn't concede a single goal in those games.

20th - The Vidi defence keeps its fourth consecutive clean sheet, although they only pick up a point away at Honved in the league. 

26th - Another league game, another win - with Haladas on the receiving end of a good Vidi performance. Goalkeeper Zsolt Sebok finally concedes two goals in the game, but the win is enough to send Videoton to the top of the table. 

26th - Peter Disztl, one time Vidi legend and present goalkeeping coach celebrates his 50th birthday among friends in Szekesfehervar. 

30th - Further improvements to the Sostoi stadium include a brand new ticket office by the main stand. 

APRIL
4th - Videoton play out a tight 2-2 draw with Zalaegerszeg. Referee Kassai appeared to make several mistakes in the game, which ended up costing Vidi all three points.

11th - Vidi's U15 side pick up bronze position at the traditional Nationwide Nike Premier Cup finals. Norbert Domjan's side remained unbeaten to pick up third spot.

11th - Nyiregyhaza arrive at the Sostoi stadium and leave empty handed, as Vidi make it 16 games since they last tasted defeat.

14th - The club launches its successful VUK program, which includes football at several primary schools in the local area.

17th - Vidi concede a goal inside the first 3 minutes but still go on to win at Paks.

20th - Good news on the injury front as striker Goran Vujovics and Illes Sitku both recover from their injuries. Illes Sitku also signs a new contract, which sees him extend his present deal by a further one year.

24th - Videoton were well worthy of a win away at Ferencvaros, but have to settle for a draw instead.

28th - The new VidiClub is launched offering special deals to its members.
