Videoton will report back for Pre-season training at the beginning of January
The players are away on their well earned winter break, preparing for their Christmas, together with their families. The coaching staff have put together their pre-season program, which will kick off in January. The program begins with the foreign based players reporting back to Fehervar on the evening of January 9th. Gyorgy Mezey and his coaching staff will then hold their first training session on the 10th January. The first week of training will see the squad based in Szekesfehervar. The team will then head of to the mountains of Matrahaza, Hungary, from Monday to Saturday. The first pre season friendly will be against Slovan Bratislava on the 26th January, at Fehervar, with a 14:00pm kick off. Further friendly games are also planned, and will be named in the near future. Gyorgy Mezey would once again like to head off for a training base abroad, from 1st till 10th February. The exact location is still being worked on at the moment.
The final part of the program will be the usual start of season physical tests at the Felcsut training complex. The season is then due to kick off on the 16th February, with the second leg of the Hungarian cup tie with Haladas. Vidi will then enter the league cup on the 19th February. The Monicomp league division one spring season then continues on the 26th February with a visit to Vasas in Budapest.
