Gyorgy Mezey: "On the whole, we have played in two battling, good matches. NK Maribor deserves to go through, and they have the bigger international experience than us. We still have work to do, and the two games have shown that we are still very far away from where we need to be competing on the international stage. I think that everyone has gotten a little carried away with Videoton's football, following last season's success, together with the expectations of the supporters. Maribor were a better team than we were, and we need to acknowledge this. They began to settle down and play their own brand of football after the first 15 minutes of the game. The performance of the players in a Hungarian league game had no problems, and we can win, but in the international game, it is too little."

Darko Milanic: "I can only praise my team, who were better in both games than Videoton. I am especially pleased that Dalibor Volas produced such a good performance, following his loan spell at Nafta Lendava. He scored two goals, which means that we can progress to the next round."
