On Wednesday morning, our team trained in the MOL Arena Sósto before the second leg of the ECL play-off against 1. FC Köln on Thursday at 19:00. In the press part of the training session, the members of the squad were tuned up for Thursday's match with a warm-up and later on the focus was on tactics.

After the training session, our head coach Michael Boris and Marcel Heister answered questions from journalists in the stadium.

Our head coach began by saying that he was very happy that so many tickets had been sold and that he was confident that they would be able to host FC 1 Cologne in front of a full house. He would like the fans to arrive at the MOL Arena Sóstó on time and cheer the team loudly from the warm-up. After the win in Cologne, everyone is looking forward to the return leg on Thursday evening with confidence, but they are aware that 1. FC Köln are keen to qualify for the group stage - as are Vidi. A week ago the German side played some very attacking football, but Michael Boris is expecting an even more attacking Cologne side in the return leg. Our head coach concluded the interview by saying that the team handled the Cologne win very modestly and that the main focus in the last few days has been on recovery and analysing the opponent. For our team to have a chance of progressing, we need to score a goal in the return leg.

Our German defender Marcel Heister expects a very intense and aggressive Cologne, he pointed out that the opponent's head coach Steffen Baumgart is full of passion and he tries to pass this passion to his team. But we have to focus on our own game, Heister continued, adding that the whole week was dedicated to analysing and preparing for Cologne's away game. He concluded by saying that this is the kind of game the players always want to play, where they can show themselves and represent the club and the whole of Hungarian football in Europe.
