The most successful athletes and teams of the past year were honoured on Thursday evening at the 64th M4 Sport - Sportsperson of the Year Gala, held at the National Theatre.

The Sports Moment of the Year category was won by the Hungarian national team and MOL Fehérvár FC defender Attila Fiola for his goal against France at the European Championship. The memorable goal was voted into the top three by more than 10,000 fans, where a professional jury decided on the award.

But I'm happy that my goal against France was not only one of the most important moments of last year for me, but I could feel in the fantastic Puskás Arena that it was more than just a goal. Of course, the award is not just mine, but also that of my teammates and all the coaching staff. I would also like to thank Vidi for their support and confidence in me throughout my injury, and without them I could not have scored this goal against the World Cup winners at the European Championships.
