Palko gave his first interview in Hungary to our website and his father, the former national team manager of Hungary, Pal Dardai, also commented on the transfer.

- As our Director of Football, Zoltan Kovacs, put it, you went to one of the best football schools in Hertha's youth. As a member of the 1999 golden generation of the Berlin club, you already made your debut in the EL and the Bundesliga. What targets have you set for yourself as you sign for Vidi?
The opportunity to play is very important to me now, I will do my best to try and spend as much time on the pitch as possible. I am aware that I still have a lot to improve, and although I have about 135 minutes in the Bundesliga, which I am very proud of, of course, it is important that I handle things in place. I work hard every day to get in the team and draw the attention of the fans to myself not because of my name but with my game. I would like to help Fehervar with goals and assists.
- You had offers from clubs in other countries, why did you decide to join Vidi?
It’s true, I had offers from Austria and the Netherlands, among others, but I wanted to continue my career at Vidi. My father never intervened in my career, he didn't do it now, it was my decision to prove myself in Szekesfehervar. I know Hungarian football, I know the environment of Szekesfehervar. Obviously, it would not sound authentic that I have been a Vidi fan since I was a child, but I know the club well, I went to the old Sosto Stadium with my dad several times, but I was already lucky enough to see a Vidi match here in the new MOL Arena Sosto. I have always considered Vidi to be a sympathetic club, I am glad to be able to continue my career here. I am aware that not only recently, but also decades ago, there were a lot of excellent footballers at this club, I will be proud to wear the red-blue shirt and I will do my best on the pitch and beyond to be worthy to wear the Vidi badge.
- How would you introduce yourself briefly to those who haven’t tracked your career so far? What position do you play and what are your virtues?
I feel best on the wings as a left footed player, but I usually appear on the right wing. I consider myself a fast, player that likes to dribble, I have worked hard a lot lately to be even stronger and ready for the first team, masculine football. My strengths also include set-pieces, which I practice regularly after training sessions. I consider myself an open, easy-going person, I’m sure I’ll be able to integrate quickly into my new team.
- What have been the biggest experiences of your career so far?
Luckily, I had a lot of experiences, we had great success with Hertha’s youth side. As one of the most beautiful successes, I look back at the 2014 NIKE Premier Cup final in Germany, which we managed to win in Berlin and thus made it to the Manchester World Cup final, where we also performed well and ended up in 3rd place.
Of course, it was a great experience to make my debut in the first team of Hertha, and to enter the pitch in the EL, the Bundesliga, but I want to build on the past and not on these experiences, but on new experiences and successes here in Szekesfehervar.
"I have never got involved in how Palko shapes his career. He has received interest from many places, including the Netherlands and since I think he has a lot of Dutch style, so if he had wondered what I would have thought, I might have recommended him this Dutch line, but he already told me last summer that he would love to play football for Vidi. It should be known that he has been to the Sosto Stadium many times as a child for Vidi matches, we have acquaintances in the area, he knows the environment of Fehervar. So the whole thing was his idea, that's how I came up with it for myself, and I didn't intervene in his decision as before. I am not worried, I know the professionals working at the club well, I know that everyone works professionally and the conditions are extremely good. If one is diligent, one can develop as well in Vidi as anywhere else abroad. My father taught me to always do what I love and where I feel good. And I have always adhered to this in all areas of life. I’ve always played football where I wanted to, I used to eat at the restaurant I love, I chose the wife I wanted to be with (laughs) and so on. I raise my children the same, and if Palko wants to play football at Vidi, I’m happy to take note of that. Of course, it will be a strange feeling to fly out of the family nest, but I am not afraid, he’s got a very good character, he’s sure he can fit into his new team quickly. We are aware that it is almost a burden to be called Dardai, but he knows that he did not go home to Hungary to make a statement to everyone now, but to play football. You need to make the most of all the time you can spend training and playing. I advised Palko that he should be the smelliest and sweatiest by the end of every training session because he has to work hard to succeed." - commented his father Pal Dardai.
