It was a busy September for Vidi with both high and low points over the first month of the autumn. On the 6th September, Nikolic scored for the national team for the first time in three years. Trailing 3-0 against Russia, Niko came on and was on the scoresheet within 3 minutes. Russia held on to win 3-2. The Vidi shirt was voted the nicest in the Hungarian first division in the middle of September. 

Szabolcs Huszti and Roland Juhasz returned to the club on the 14th September in the capacity of football advisors. Former Vidi player Peter Jakab passed away after a serious illness. We won 1-0 at the home of Maltese side Hibernians FC on the 17th September in the Europa League to make it into the Q3 stage. Three days later and we made it through to the next round of the MOL Hungarian Cup with a 5-0 win. There was also a penalty shootout win over French side Stade de Reims on the 24th September.
