An impressive 5-1 away win, which included three goals from Loic Nego has firmly put the red and blues in the driving seat ahead of next week's second leg.

The Europa League Q1 first leg matches were played over three days from the 9th-11th July. There were 94 teams taking part at this stage with 47 matches being played over the three days. The 5-1 away win that Vidi picked up in Podgorica on Thursday evening included three factors worth taking note on.
The biggest away win
No other away side from the 47 matches managed to score five goals apart from us. The four goal winning margin was matched by Rangers, who won 4-0 away at St Joseph of Gibraltar.
7, 6, 5!
There were just three other teams that scored more goals than Vidi out of the 94 sides. Norwegian's Molde and Swedish outfit Malmö both hit seven goals in their home legs. Georgian side Tbilisi scored six times in their match at home.
Hatrick
Loic Nego hit a first half hatrick in Podgorica and he is in joint first place as top goalscorer in the EL this season with Malmö player Markus Rosenberg and Molde forward Leke James. However, Nego scored three consecutive goals on the night to make it a classic hatrick and all three assists came from Milanov.
Breidablik vs. Vaduz
Our comfortable first leg away win puts us firmly in the driving seat and one eye was on another game played last night. Breidablik of Iceland were at home to Liechtenstein side Vaduz. The first leg ended without any goals going into next weeks second leg in Vaduz.
