Our opponents from the Tolna County had never before played NB I football before 2006. However, they have been members ever since and have built their sides around Hungarian players, which was continued over the summer with more arriving. They signed players that had previous Paks connections with the exception of Gergely Nagy. The father of Peter Horvath was a former footballer of the club, while youth international David Kelemen played for them between 2015-2017. The others include Fejos, Bor, Kovari, Kiliti, Jelena and Kokenszky, who returned from a loan period. Nagy played in the opening match of the new season with both Kovari and Horvath coming on as substitutes. The others have yet to be given the chance. Those heading out on loan moves were Verpecz, Zachan, Szalai and Kesztyus. Former Vidi player Koltai also left the club together with other former Fehervar players Szakaly and keeper Molnar.

Their squad is valued at around 5,4 million euro according to transfermarkt.de, which is the 10th highest in the NB I. Most valuable player is Janos Szabo who is worth 500,000€ and has played for his country 7 times. Bertus and Papp are both valued at 400,000€. There are four former Vidi players in the current Paks squad: Zsolt Gevay is their captain and there is also Andras Fejes, who was a member of the 2015 and 2018 title winning squads. Adam Simon and Zsolt Haraszti also play for Paks and their manager, Aurel Csertoi managed Vidi to the 2006 Hungarian cup win. Our opponents kicked off the new season with a defeat away at Mezokovesd. They lost 3-1 and are in 9th place currently.
