Marko Nikolic: 

"We picked up a very important win this evening. I have said many times that I feel that we are more stable over the spring than autumn. The results confirm this with us winning 6 games and drawing the other 2 this year. Our opponents Debrecen lined up defensively with three central defenders and 10 men behind the ball. It was not easy to play against them. I was satisfied with the first half and we controlled the game and also created some chances. We took the lead following a set-piece. However, we could not score that second goal. Stefan had a big chance to settle the game, but he missed that effort. We were a little bit nervous in the final 20 minutes and knew that we led the table from Ferencvaros after they dropped points. We did not play well in that period but continued to really battle. If I remember well, the visitors did not really have big chances even though they did have some counter attacks. I would like to congratulate my players and also thank the supporters for their backing. We can now prepare for next weeks league game."

Zsolt Bucs took the post match press conference in place of Andras Herczeg. 

"The events of the cup match on Wednesday meant that it was hard to erase that game from our heads. However, the match confirmed that we managed to do this. We were a little bit scared in the first half and did not pick up the battle. Things were better in the second 45 minutes as we pushed Vidi back. We also switched our formation for the last 10 minutes. The final pass was missing to create goalsoring chances. Vidi did not have too many chances either and the goal came from a rebound. We were missing Norbert Konyves, who has been in fine form recently and we could not replace him today."
