The forward sat down to discuss his love of football, childhood and Videoton.

The team is preparing for their second league match of 2018. Danko Lazovic sat down in front of the M4 Sport TV program ahead of the game with Honved. He spoke in depth about his childhood and his earlier career, as well as his current period with Vidi.
"Football is my first love and I started to play at the age of six. I have never stopped since and still love football today. It has a special place in my life. Those things that are important in life are also in football. That is why I enjoy this sport so much. The majority of kids in Serbia begin playing football in the streets. I moved to an academy a little bit later, but in Serbia, everybody wants to be a part of something. Many took up basketball, but I chose football. Later we learned different sports and we went swimming and also skiing. My childhood was a nice one."
The supporters are aware that Lazovic had a long and successful international career, which he can be proud of and which he recalls.
"I am proud that I am Serbian. There are so many talented people from that country. Perhaps the conditions there are not the best, but the character is strong. Perhaps sometimes it becomes too strong. I proudly represented my country at the international level. It is a responsibility but a nice task. I played for Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro and also in the colours of Serbia. I am pleased that I played at a young age in the shirt of Yugoslavia. However, scoring my first goal for Serbia was a special moment in my playing career. They can say that I am not a good player, and everyone can have their own opinion, but nobody can take away the fact that I scored the first goal for the Serbian national side. I hope that my children will talk about this and later their own children."
The experienced forward has played for several clubs. The reporter asked him about his period playing in Holland first.
"There were many offers back then when I left Vitesse. I chose PSV as it gave we the chance to fight for the league title, which would also then mean the Champions League. Money never led me but the professional decisions instead. I did not want to be famous, and this part has never interested me. This is not why I started playing football to give interviews. I started because I loved football. I want to be part of something big. This applies until today. It is at PSV that I met Balazs Dzsudzsak, who became like a brother. He is a top person. I tried to help him settle in as quickly as possible within the team. I do not think that he moved there because of the money. Anzi Mahacskala was another big project at the time. He played well later with Dinamo Moscow. If we are talking about that: you can only respect players such as Balazs, Roland Juhasz and Szabolcs Huszti. They played at a very high level in the game. It is not my job to give advice to the Hungarian supporters, but these players did well in those strong leagues they played for.
Lazovic also spoke about why he chose to come to Videoton FC in the summer of 2016 to play in the NBI.
I consider Hungarian football to be a serious project. The infrastructure has improved and the league is getting stronger. It is also a very balanced league. I think we can be talking about Hungarian football moving up to a higher standard within 4-5 years. I feel good here. All I have to do here is to play football. There is nothing else to find or dig for. I enjoy being a member of the Vidi squad. I want the young players to become better than me and Roland Juhasz. They have to put this into their heads. When they have this mentality, that will make them better footballers. I hope that we will be champions at the end of the season. I came here to win the league title and hope this becomes reality in my second season here."

A két vezetőedző értékelte a MOL Vidi FC-Kisvárda Master Good bajnokit.

Bátor játékkal készülnek a kisvárdaiak az esti bajnokira.

Minőségi játékosokkal érkezik Székesfehérvárra a Kisvárda.

A március 13-án, 18 órakor rendezendő összecsapásra egységesen 2850 forintba kerülnek a belépők.
