Interesting statistics revealed

Statistics from the first third of the league season.

The first third of the league season has ended with 11 games having been played. That gives us a good chance to reflect back on statistics as we head into a 3 week international break.

Videoton were in 7th place with 12 points at the same point last season. The leaders after a third of the season were Ferencvaros, who had picked up 31 points, with Haladas in second on 18 points. Videoton are second in the OTP league table with 20 points from their opening 11 games. They sit two points behind Vasas, who currently lead the division with 22 points.

Vidi have scored the most goals as they have found the back of the opponents net 24 times in the 11 league matches. That is two goals more than Ferencvaros had scored at the same stage last season. (It is true that they had conceded just 4 goals, with Vidi letting in 12 goals this season.)

Two players have played in each game so far in the 2016/17 season. Goalkeeper Adam Kovacsik and defender Loic Nego have been ever present. Mate Patkai, Krisztian Geresi, Danko Lazovic and Robert Feczesin have all taken part at some point in the 11 games.

InStat figures reveal that Loic Nego has performed the best so far this season. He has also made the team of the week 4 times. Juhasz, Vinicius, Patkai and Feczesin have all been named in the best weekly 11, three times. Robert Feczesin has the best goal per minutes ratio for Videoton. He scores every 130 minutes in the opponents net. He is also the league's joint top goalscorer with 6 goals to his name. That is the same number as Ferencvaros forward Daniel Bode.
