Paulo Vinicius and Videoton FC have agreed on a new contract extension, which will see the defender remain with the club until 2020!

"I will honestly say that I would not have believed that when I joined Vidi in 2011, that I would still be playing football in Szekesfehervar 5 years later. Now I have signed a new contract until 2020. It is very rare for a footballer in today's world to stay and play for one club for so long. I am very happy with this new contract and I have already achieved lots of good memories at the club. There have also been failures of course, but I would like to be part of more success in the future and be a useful member of the team. The country means a lot to me and my children were born here. I have been living here with my family for many years now and it would be a dream come true to one day play for the Hungarian national team as a Vidi player. That is for the future, but I am full of motivation and my best years are still ahead of me" - commented Paulo Vinicius.

Paulo Vinícius was a footballer for Brazilian side Sao Paulo, but his real breakthrough came in Uruguay with River Plate. He joined Videoton FC in the summer of 2011 at the age of 21. The Brazilian defender has been a stable and reliable player at the heart of the Vidi defence for several years now.

Vinícius has made 125 first division appearances and scored 8 times. He played in the Europa League qualifying and group stage matches playing 22 times in European competition. He has made a further 4 appearances in the Champions League.
