Vidi head off to Spanish training camp

The team coach rolled out of the Sostoi stadium at 6am on route to Vienna airport. They will fly to Valencia via a stop off at Zurich.

The Videoton FC squad headed off on Wednesday morning for their 10 day training camp in Spain. The team will be based close to Valencia, and will return home on the 22nd January. The program will include several international friendlies.

Two friendly matches have already been confirmed: The 17th January against German Bundesliga 2 side Union Berlin, and the 19th January, when Ferenc Horvath's team will come up against Kaiserslautern.

Vidi have headed off to Spain with a 24 man squad, including a couple of young players from the Vidi II squad. Filipe Oliveira has a slight injury, so he will link up with the squad later. "The Portuguese midfielder has a stomach muscle strain, which is why he will receive treatment over the next couple of days. He will then travel to Spain once he has recovered" - commented club doctor Tibor Kovacs. Another player that did not travel on Wednesday is Dinko Trebotic, who suffered a muscle injury last season. He took part in the first training session of the year but he still requires treatment.
