Loic Nego: It will not be easy to break in to the team but that is my main aim

The French youth international revealed who has helped him most to blend in. He also spoke about his first impressions and his thoughts on the team and club.

"I am pleased that I have become a Vidi player. I have spent a lot of time researching the club's history, so I can confidently say that I am proud to have moved to this club. I know that the team has not made the best start to the season, but I watched the league match against Debrecen at the Sostoi stadium. I saw a team that battled and fought to win the game with a last minute goal. I really hope that this fight within the team will be present in the future as well. Talking briefly about myself, I began playing football at the young age of 8 years old. I came through the youth academy at Nantes. I also received my first professional contract at this club when I was 18. I then moved to AS Roma in 2011, and then on to Belgium, when I joined Standard Liege on loan. I then moved to Ujpest in a similar loan deal in 2013. I am also proud to have played for the French youth sides from the age of 16. One of the highlights of my career so far was in 2010. I was part of the U19 side that won the European championship. It is a big dream of mine to one day play for the full French national side. I am clear in the fact that there are several excellent French full backs around the world. There are plenty of differences between Hungary and the countries where I have played previously. However, football here is similar. Perhaps one of the main differences with Hungary are the small attendances at matches with the exception of one or two big derby games. I feel that there are many technical players who are intelligent in the first division. I am really looking forward to the domestic league continuing after the international break. I know that it will not be easy to break in to the starting team of Videoton. However, this is one of my main aims. I am sure that it will be a real battle to break in to the team, but it will be Videoton that will be the biggest winner. I have been training for several days now with the squad. My impression of the club and city are good. There have been several days that have included two training sessions in a day. That gave me time to walk around the city centre, which is really lovely. I feel that I have managed to blend in quite quickly, which is also thanks on one part to Sulkic, who I played together with at Ujpest. He is one of my best friends. I also know Stopira from the past and I went to school with his brother in France" - commented Loic Nego to vidi.hu
