Roland Juhasz: Q + A session with the popular defender

We asked the players questions about their everyday lives, the habits and whether there are any important aspects that play a vital role besides work and learning.

Hi! My name is Helga, and I will try my best to help you get to know the players that play week in, week out for Videoton better. Here is my question and answer session with defender Roland Juhasz. Let's get straight to it.

- What was your favourite subject at school?
Maths and PE naturally.

- Do you have any childhood memories, which are very important to you personally?
The 1994 World Cup in America had a great effect on me at the age of 11 for my football career. It played a large influence and convinced me to choose this sport to pursue.

- Do you believe in fate?
Yes, I do believe that many things are as a result of fate....

-- What could you consider yourself working in if you had not become a footballer?
I am sure that it would be something connected to sport, as I feel good in this field. I would gladly be a journalist or photographer.

- Your best feeling in football so far?
Fortunately I have had several, but if I had to pick one out, then it would be the first championship title that we won when I played for MTK.

- Do you have any pre-match habits before running out on to the pitch?
My shin pads are something that I would never go out on to the pitch without. I have been wearing them since I was practically 15.

 - Who is the best player that you have ever played against?
The best striker that I have faced is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

- What is your favourite housework?
I enjoy washing up.

- Can you cook?
I would like to learn, but sadly the maximum that I can make is porridge. For someone to really be able to cook, they have to be talented in that. We will see whether I have this or not.

- What was the last film that you watched in a cinema?
The taste of life, which was a really good film.

- Do you attend festivals?
Yes ,for example I attended the Sziget festival this year on the final day in the hope of trying to popularize football a little. I have been to Tomorrowland and I would if I had time, but I am slowly growing out of that scene.

- Is there a concert that you would really like to attend?
Yes, Coldplay. I have not been yet but I really like them, so I plan sometimes in the future to attend one of their concerts.

- What do you do and where do you go if you want to switch off a little?
We always do a joint program together with my friends.

- Do you have any qualities that you feel need changing?
Yes, I feel that everybody has some. Nobody is perfect. I feel that we can always learn from the things that we are missing.

- Would you tell us what those are?
No. smiley

- What 3 factors do you look for most in a woman?
She should be trustworthy, honest and family orientated.

- Is there a place in the world that you have not yet been to, but would really like to visit?
There are several places, although fortunately I have been to several nice places, thanks to football. However, I would gladly go to Australia or South America.

- Where would you be happier to live, a small village or a large town?
I come from a small village and now live in a big town, which is why I can safely say that it would be a big town. I love the hustle and bustle and the fast-paced life.

- Are you interested in other people’s opinions?
Yes, there are one or two people whose opinions I always ask. I consider it important that I should be inclusive, as a very good opinion can be very helpful, if for example I am biased when it comes to making a certain opinion.

- Do you have any big plans in the coming 5 years?
My biggest plan is to build up my life after my playing career ends. I am 31 years old, so the time has come for me to start considering what I will do. This is why I have begun learning about sports management in Eger for example. I would like there to be a transition between my football and private life when I finish my playing career. This is very important in the life of a sportsman. I would also like to learn languages so I have plenty of plans.
