The weekend Videoton FC - Győri ETO match resulted in a serious injury to the visitors Leandro Martinez. The Győr forward battled for the ball with Vidi's Oliveira, but he slipped on the surface, and suffered a very serious injury. The player was operated on by Videoton team doctor Geza Abkarovits during the week in Szekesfehervar.

"Martinez tore a muscle in his leg. The operation was a success and if everything goes according to plan, he can begin full training in around 3 months time." - commented the doctor.

"The many reassuring words that I have received from both the team and the supporters on the forum and social media sites, has given me strength to recover. I would like to thank the Videoton supporters, who clapped me as I was taken off on a stretcher." - said Martinez.

A similar injury happened in the autumn Győr - Vidi league match, when Roland Juhasz was the unlucky player to have to come off and he only returned to action two and a half months later.
