- We have come to the end of a very long winter pre-season, and now have a home match to look forward to on Wednesday, which will be the first competitive match of 2014. What kind of game are you counting on against Kaposvar?

I think that I can calmly say that not only me, but also everyone is really waiting for the spring season to begin. Naturally we know that we will have to produce a very good half season, and we had this in mind as we went through the winter pre-season. I feel that we have two successful training camps behind us, where we played against serious opponents, in good tempo and enjoyable games. In the first training camp, the manager wanted to see how we would respond if we were given less time to relax before a friendly match. This is why the first training camp was much more intensive, and that made it more tiring as a result, but it also meant that the players are in top physical condition. The emphasis during the second training camp was more on training and practicing match situations. We will be continuing in both the league and league cup over the spring, and we will be taking both of them very seriously. We also want to win both competitions. I am really looking forward to the league cup match with Kaposvar, and I would like us to give our supporters a win in our first match.

- They have changed virtually half of the team at Kaposvar, and also have a new manager. Do you think that this will be an advantage, as they are still not fully used to each other, or will it make our job harder, as we will not know what to count on against them?

The most important thing for Kaposvar is that they remain in the first division. I am sure that they will not go to Szekesfehervar on Wednesday with their hands raised up. I am sure that they will also want to kick off 2014 with a win and to be successful. A good result can give them plenty of confidence. This is why I do not feel that it will be an easy game at all. It is true that they will need time for their players to blend and get to know each other and their new manager. The fact that we are used to each other gives us the advantage. We will not be focusing on our opponents, although we respect them, and we will never underestimate any of the teams that we play against. We have to only deal with ourselves. We have to play our own game, and we need to enforce our will on to the other team. This is not only true about the league cup match with Kaposvar, but all of the matches over the spring. We must not make a single mistake!

- 2014 has started really well for you as you have scored consistently in the friendly matches against serious teams. You will be looking to take this form into the spring season.

I feel that I am currently in a really good condition. Fortunately the goals are also coming, which is very important for a striker, but the most important is for the team to be successful. It would be the icing on the cake if my goals could help towards this.

- You have once again participated in the national teams training camp, and you also now know who the opponents will be in the qualification group. What do you think are the chances of the national team?

I believe that luck was next to us, as it is hard to think of a better draw for us. This does not mean for one moment that going through from the group is already in our pockets. There will still be very hard games for us to negotiate. I do feel that we have a good chance to battle our way in the group. We must not underestimate any of the teams. The Greeks are regular participants in major tournaments, while the Romanians are strong, and the matches with Northern Ireland and Finland will be a challenge. It is a fairly balanced group, and everyone has the chance to make it through. These get together periods for the national team are really useful, as it allows us to prepare together and get to know each other much better. It also allows us to know what the national team manager expects from us. The most important thing is to fight with all of our hearts in the matches, and believe that we are capable of winning. If we go out with this in our minds for each game, then we will be there at the 2016 championships.
