The FIFA Ballon d’Or candidates receive three votes from each country. The national team manager, team member (usually the captain), and a journalist can all place their votes. Roland Juhasz, as the captain of Hungary decided on Frank Ribery, who plays for Bayern Munich and France.

"He won virtually everything with his club, playing really well, and giving plenty to Bayern in their success this year. Therefore he was my obvious choice for the best player this year" - said the defender. 

Second place went to Barcelona and Argentina international star, and earlier four time winner of the FIFA Ballon d’Or, Lionel Messi, while his third choice went to Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"Messi is always at the top of the list each year, but Ribery overtook him when it came to winning trophies, which is why I gave him my second vote. The performances of Ibrahimovic over recent months meant that he deserved third place" - added Roland Juhasz.
