Mate Papp was one of the youngsters who participated in Vidi's pre-season training camp in Austria. He managed to convince the coaching staff of his potential during that time, playing in friendly matches at the same time. The player has signed a contract extension with Videoton FC, securing his long term future in Szekesfehervar. Papp will spend the coming season on loan at second division Dunaujvaros, as the most important factor for the 20 year old is to play regular football.

"I am very pleased to have extended my contract with Videoton. José Gomes told me that he liked what he had seen, and the way I played in the friendly matches. The most important aspect at my age is to continue to develop. This is why I will spend the season on loan at second division side Dunaujvaros. I feel that this is the best decision, having played two years with the U19 side, before moving to the division three team last year. I have been moving up a level every season. My aim is to gain experience in order to be a first division player next year" - commented young Mate Papp.
