Videoton FC have agreed a permanent deal, which will see Arturo Alvarez remain with Videoton FC. The left-footed player was born on the 28th June 1985, in Texas, Houston. He has dual citizenship with the USA and El Salvador. Alvarez played for the youth sides of the United States, before choosing to represent El Salvador at full international level. He made his professional debut at the young age of 18, in the MLS pro football league.
His first club was San Jose Earthquake, before he moved to FC Dallas between 2005-2008. He returned to San Jose in 2008, where he remained until 2010. He was on the move again to Real Salt Lake in 2011. It was from there that he made the move to Europe, joining Portuguese side Paços de Ferreira. Arturo joined Videoton FC on a loan deal half a year ago, making 11 league appearances over the spring season, scoring two goals in those games. His first goal came against Haladas, which was enough to give Vidi their first win in Szombathely after 9 years.
The player has signed a two year deal, with the option of a further year. Alvarez jetted out to join his team mates at the Austrian training camp, taking part in Friday's training session. "I am pleased to continue my playing career with Videoton. I got to like the team over the last 5 months, and I would like to help Vidi to future success over the coming season, both in the domestic league and on the international stage" - explained Vidi's latest signing Arturo Alvarez to the club's official website.

Each of the first division clubs will enter the cup at the first round stage.

The players will have the normal medical check up for the first couple of days before heading off to their Austrian training camp on Saturday 28th June.
