A busy week of Europa league and OTP action lies ahead
UEFA Europa League Group G, match 3
Thursday 25th October 2012 - K.O.: 19:00pm Videoton FC - Basel
Thursday evening sees Videoton return to Europa League action with the visit of Swiss giants Basel FC. Basel have so far drawn their first two games in group G. They played out a 0-0 draw away in Lisbon, before sharing four goals in the 2-2 home draw with Genk. Vidi lost their first group match in Belgium, going down 3-0 to Genk. However, they dished out a 3-0 beating to Sporting in the most recent group match at the Sostoi stadium. That win currently sees Videoton in second place in the group. Basel underwent a change of manager last week, and are currently in fourth place in their domestic league.
OTP Bank League match 12
Sunday 28th October 2012 - K.O.: 16:30pm: Videoton FC - Debrecen
Another big match is in prospect for Videoton with the arrival of champions Debrecen to the Sostoi next Sunday. The game is just three days after the Europa league home match with Basel. Debrecen most recently beat Diosgyőr 2-0 to remain in second place in the OTP league table. A good crowd looks likely to see this big clash, with Vidi having lost the corresponding fixture last season in March, by a single goal. However, Videoton did win the super cup following penalty shootout drama in July.
