Polish referee Szymon Marciniak was born on the 7th January 1981. He took charge of his first international game last March, in an U17 game involving Norway and Belarus. He was also a match official in two games with a Hungarian interest. The first of those was the Europa League game between Az Aalesund and Ferencvaros, and the Turkey - Hungary U21 international game. Ferencvaros lost their match 3-1, while the young Hungarian side went down 2-1 in Turkey. Let's hope that this record improves in Thursday's 2nd leg match in Belgium. The Polish match official has taken charge of 59 game to date in his domestic league. He has handed out 186 yellow cards, and sent off 17 in those games.
