With the league season coming to an end, the Hungarian FA will shortly be handing out their awards for the season's best performers. The 5th June event at the Globall Football Park will have eight different awards. The gala will see the following awards handed out: The Jozsef Bozsik award for the player of the season, the Ferenc Deak award for the top goalscorer, the discovery of the season named the Nandor Hidegkuti award, the Gusztav Sebes award for manager of the season, the best match official under the name of the Pal Hertzka trophy, the journalist of the season called the Daniel Molnar award, and the sports manager of the season named the Ede Minarik award. There is also a final award for the club owner of the season.

Nikolics is currently competing with Debrecen duo Adamo Coulibaly and Peter Szakaly, with the winner being determined on the evening itself. Hungarian FA President Sandor Csanyi will hand over the awards himself.
