Alves hits a double in the Brazilian sun

Andre Alves took part in a charity gala match in Brazil, were he scored twice and set up another

André Alves is back home in Brazil in the town of his birth, Dourados. It has now become a tradition for him to play in an organized Gala charity match, which involves many events and a football match. Football played the main role and Videoton's star striker did not disappoint.

The match saw a local All star side take on a team, made up of Brazilian players who play abroad, but who are originally from Dourados. Alves' side was the following:Roger (Mundo Novo), João Paulo (Santos) - Eduardo Arroz (Santa Cruz), Adriano (Oeste Itápolis), Flávio (Juventude/RS), Pavão (Atlético Mineiro), Conrado (Santa-Cruzense/SP), Yuri (Grêmio Prudente), Ferrari (meghívott vendég), Tutinha (Grêmio/RS), André Alves (Videoton FC), Amarildo (Mundo Novo), Ainda Dandara (Atlético Mineiro), André (Primeira Camisa), Tiziu (Corinthians), Gabriel Silva (Fluminense)

The match ended in a 6-3 win for Alves' side. Andre did what he does best by scoring two goals in the game, as well as setting up another. One interesting point to note was that Alves lined up in the same team as his brother, Adriano, who last season signed for Ferencvaros, and went on to make 10 appearances for the Budapest side. "The Gala match here in Dourados is very important, and I am always delighted to accept their invitation for me to play in it. It also shows how important this sport is in my home town. I am also happy that this helps those who are in need, as the entrance fee was 1kg of food, which will go to those who need it most." said Andre Alves after the event.
