Videoton make the journey over to Szolnok, in this important Monicomp league fixture on Saturday. Gyorgy Mezey's side will be anxious to return with all three points. There are no easy games in the Hungarian first division, and the fact that Vidi will come up against the bottom side, will not make it any easier. Szolnok had a disappointing autumn season, which has resulted in them picking up 13 points from the 20 games so far. The gap between them and the side above them is six points, and they are ten points from safety. They have conceded an average of two goals per game, which is the main reason for their position in the first division table. Manager Gyorgy Mezey will have a full squad to choose from, as right back Pal Lazar has returned from international duty. The young defender played against Holland in a match, which saw the Dutch win an eight goal thriller 5-3. Akos Elek and Zoltan Liptak only played in the first game against Holland, last Friday, and missed the return game in Amsterdam, due to picking up a yellow card. 

It will be a busy weekend of league football, with all eyes on the big Budapest derby game between second place Ferencvaros, and their rivals Ujpest. Third place Paks travel to Lombard Papa, in what will be a difficult game for them. Fourth in the table, ZTE, have a home game with Honved on Saturday. So this match will provide Vidi with another chance to extend further their place at the top of the Monicomp league table. They currently enjoy a lead of 12 points, plus a very good goal difference, and this lead can be increased further if all goes well on Saturday. These are exciting times for the club, as they strive to win their first ever league title. However, no one will be talking about this in the period leading up to the match, and the only focus will be on picking up another important three points.
