Videoton currently sit at the top of the Monicomp League division one table with a lead of seven points. Current league champions Debrecen, are one of the small band of teams who will be pushing Vidi over the spring season. However, they will have to that with a new manager in place, after long term Debrecen manager, Andras Herczeg resigned late on Monday morning. Under his management, Debrecen set the standards in recent years, and they enjoyed great success under the talented manager. Videoton would like to put on record their congratulations and appreciation of the good work he has done, for both his club and country. Debrecen were the first Hungarian side, in a long time, to qualify for the Europa Cup group stages. That is something that Videoton would like to be doing in the near future.
