That tally meant that they picked up 64 points over the course of the year, which was 5 more than nearest rivals Debrecen. Gyorgy Mezey's side found the back of the opposition's net 56 times, with the majority coming from Andre Alves. The defence remained tight with just 28 goals being conceded, which was the lowest together with Győri ETO. This is just the kind of consistency that is needed over the coming spring season, as Vidi look to build on their current 7 points lead at the top of the Monicomp league division one table. A good pre-season campaign, when the players return to training in January, will be the catapult to what everyone hopes will result in Videoton's first league title success at the end of May.
