Videoton ended the autumn season with a 4 points lead after weekend 15. There was still time to play the weekend 16, (which is the first round of league games of the spring season) and the win over Siofok, meant that Vidi currently have a 7 points advantage, going into the winter break. As to whether the lead will be enough to win the league championship come next June, is still not clear at this stage. Looking at the table below of the last 5 league seasons, the first column has the league season. The next one shows the eventual champions and the amount of points that they won by, shown in brackets. The third column shows what points advantage the eventual champions had at the half way stage, while the final column lists the leaders at the half was stage. 

There has only been one occasion when the leaders at the half way stage have managed to throw away a bigger points advantage than Vidi currently enjoy. That happened back in season 2006-2007 when MTK lead by 5 points, only to eventually lose to Debrecen by 8 points in the end.
