Four Hungarian clubs have been competing in European competition over the summer. Debrecen, Gyori ETO, ZTE and Videoton have had additional key games, on top of the usual pre-season friendlies. The other sides in division one took part in the first round of the League cup during the week, with Videoton joining in this cup in the spring season only. However, this weekend will see the start of the Soproni League Division one 2010/2011 season.

Videoton will kick off the season with a difficult away game at newly promoted Siofok on Sunday, with kick off at 17:30pm. Siofok will also have a league cup game at Ujpest on Thursday evening, which will give Siofok manager, Istvan Mihalecz the chance to have a further look at his side. Siofok played a recent friendly game with Sopron, with the following line-up: Molnár (Szalma) - Mogyorósi, Graszl, Fehér (Tusori), Novák (László) - Thiago (Délczeg), Kecskés (Ludánszki), Kanta, Piller (Kocsis) - Sowunmi (Roni), Csermelyi.
