The blistering heat that has hit Hungary over the last few days, was still present as both teams run out on Saturday morning, in this pre-season friendly. The match kicked off early to escape the midday sun at the technical centre in Felcsut. Geza Meszoly's Ujpest side, together with recent signing from Videoton, Illes Sitku, lined up to face a mixed Videoton side, which lined up as follows: Sebők - Lázár, Vaskó, Milanovics, Hidvégi - Nagy, Szakály, Polonkai, Djordjic, Mutumba - Lencse

Vidi were two up at the break with goals coming from Szakaly and Lencse. Manager Gyorgy Mezey made several changes at the break with Tujvel taking Sebok's place in goal. Vidi's goals in the second half came from a Vujevics hatrick, with Ujpest replying from Rajczi, Simek and Sitku.

Manager Mezey said after the game: "All respect to the players for the way they played, in this challenging hot weather. Their attitude was also an example to all." VIdi's players will be given the day off tomorrow to rest, while Monday will include a tactical meeting, followed by a training session in Felcsut.
