Work began back on the 1st June 2010, to completely replace the old and worn out pitch at the Sostoi stadium. The contractors moved in and predicted 40 days to complete the work. The old running track that surrounded the pitch was also removed, with an extra 2 meters of grass planned by each touchline. The original pitch size will remain the same. As the photos show, the new grass pitch, together with the modern drainage system, which was also installed beneath the grass pitch, are now ready. The new quality pitch will improve the match experience for both the players and the fans.
