There have been four games when there have been a four goal winning margin for Vidi against MTK. The first such game came in season 1982-1983 in the 8th game of the season. Goals from Zsinka, Szabo, Csuhay, Csongradi, Disztl L and Majer secured a 6-2 win at home. The match that was played 35 years ago saw Ferenc Kovacs take his place in the stand. He had earlier managed both teams but was the coach of Debrecen when this game was played. The Nemzeti Sport mentioned before the game that "We have already played both sides but did not manage to beat either of them. We even lost at home to Videoton. I am curious about how the Fehervar side will play and it would be a big surprise if Vidi did not win the game."
Vidi could have scored two early goals inside three minutes, but those chances were missed. A 28th minute Majer cross from the right was palmed out by keeper Brunyi, but the ball bounced in front of 17 year old Zsinka, who made no mistake from 12 meters out. That was his first NBI goal for a player who would later go on to play for Ferencvaros, Honved and Ujpest. The supporters then saw 6 goals inside 15 minutes in the second half. Four went to the Fehervar side and two to the team from the capital. The last goal was scored in the final minute by Majer to make it 6-2. There were 3 Vidi players in the team of the week with Disztl L, Csuhay and Majer all being picked.

Vidi have twice managed to win 8-0 in first division games at the Sostoi Stadium, which is a club record. There was a game with Eger on the 28th May 1972 and another one with Tiszakecske 25 years later. That match was played on the 18th October 1997 but the game did not appear for a long spell as if it would end up becoming a record. The half time score was 2-0 thanks to goals from Dveri and Vancsa. However, things were much different in the second half. Goals from Vancsa (47 and 62) gave him a hatrick. Further goals from Korsos (2) after 65 and 70 minutes increased the leas. Waltner then found the net three minutes later and the eighth goal came after 89 minutes from Roth.
The game was marred by a sad point as the funeral of Laszlo and Peter Disztl's father took place on the Monday following the match. The former international footballers were devastated when their father passed away in an accident at the age of 61 years old. Former Vidi president Jozsef Szuna dedicated the win in memory of the father following the final whistle.

PAFC: Hajduch - Margatics, Vaszicsku, Gallardo, Tamás, Bertus, Polonkai, Czvitkovics, Nagy, Tischler, Zsolnai

Former Academy players Szolnoki and Kleinheisler were in the starting line up while Gyurcso took his place on the bench. Both sides ran out onto the pitch in a pink shirt in recognition of the battle against breast cancer.
Vidi started the game well and took the play to their opponents but the supporters did not see a real chance for a while. The goals came in the second half with the breakthrough coming after 68 minutes. Nildo fed Nikolic with a fine ball and he played it unselfishly to Ze Luis, who confidently found the back of the net from close range. The lead was further increased after 75 minutes when a fine move ended with another assist from Nikolic who found Nildo, and the winger curled a lovely ball into the back of the net. The 3-0 result was rounded off by a goal on full time from Alvarez.

Hungary face Estonia in Tallinn on Monday before MOL Vidi resume the league with an away game at Haladas at the weekend.

The midfielder arrived in September and joins three Bosnians, two Montenegro and Macedonians, El Salvador and a Cape Verde.

The Cape Verde defender scored a lovely goal with a header for his country.

Hungary lost 1-0 in Greece in their Nations League match. Vidi players Attila Fiola and Istvan Kovacs featured in the game.

The Vidi midfielder is currently away on international duty with Hungary.

We look back at memorable games that happened this week in the past.
