Marco Rossi's side travelled out to Athens and lost by a single goal to Greece on Friday evening. Vidi defender Attila Fiola played in the heart of the Hungarian defence in a crowd of around 8000, which included 500 Hungarians.

Vidi midfielder Istvan Kovacs was brought on in the second half by Rossi. The Hungarian side tried hard towards the end of the match but suffered a 1-0 defeat to sit in third place in the group with 3 points.

They will now travel to Estonia for an away match on Monday evening.

The Africa Cup of Nations included Cape Verde and Vidi defender Stopira in their 3-0 win over Tanzania. The home sides third goal was scored by Stopira in the 85th minute. That saw them jump to second place behind Uganda.
