Match 11 of the OTP league season saw Vidi visit the home of Haladas on Saturday evening. The home side went into the game sitting in bottom place of the OTP league. They had changed manager a few weeks ago with former Vidi forward and manager Ferenc Horvath taking over. Keeper Adam Kovacsik returned in goal for the visitors after his injury in September. However, Milanov was missing with a slight injury after returning home from the Bulgarian national team.

The first chance of the game arrived on 2 minutes when a cross from the left was headed wide by Roland Juhasz. A Nemeth cross for the home team five minutes later ended with a header from Priskin going wide of the post from 7 meters. There were slight chances at both ends, but the ball was mainly being played in the middle of the pitch. A 28th minute long range shot from Krisztian Tamas resulted in experienced keeper Gabor Kiraly collecting comfortably.

There was a nice move from Vidi with five minutes of the first half remaining. Fiola sent a ball into the middle, which Scepovic met, but he tried to dribble instead of shoot at goal. The ball was eventually blocked by a home defender and the danger cleared. Haladas almost went ahead right on half time when Priskin took advantage of a slip by Vinicius, but the forward rolled his low shot the wrong side of the post. The end of the first half followed with the teams going into the dressing room with the score at 0-0.

It was Haladas that started the second half the more active with first Racz shooting over from 17 meters, and then Bamgboye beating Vinicius to the ball, but Kovacsik did well to race out of his goal and save. A shot from Hodzic went over the bar on 57 minutes before Vidi took the lead after 61 minutes: A cross from the right ended with Kiraly failing to collect, and the ball landed at the feet of Scepovic who hit the post, but the forward reacted fastest to stab home the rebound (0-1).

One of the best moves of the season then followed after 69 minutes. Nego played in Patkai, who looked up and curled a lovely shot into the top corner to give the keeper no chance (0-2). Hodzic then tested Kiraly moments later hut his low shot was saved by the experienced Hungarian keeper.

Haladas sub Reagy Ofosi hit a strong low shot, which Kovacsik went down well to save on his line. The four minutes of injury time brought a chance for Haladas, with Gaal hitting the post from close range. However, it proved the last effort of the game as Vidi won 2-0 and collected 3 important league points.

Vidi are next in action on Thursday evening in Greece when they face PAOK in the EL group match. The next league game is away next Sunday at Kisvarda.
