The 25 year old performed well in the spring and has earned a new deal with the club.

Adam Kovacsik joined Videoton in August 2015. He made 7 league appearances in the season that has just ended as well as one in the Hungarian cup. An injury to Branislav Daanilovics in the spring gave him the chance in goal. The young keeper performed very well, but suffered an injury in April. He spent the remainder of the season rehabilitating. He is expected to be in 100% condition for the start of pre-season. Adam's contract was due to expire next summer, but the club have extended that deal until June 2020.
"I am very happy that the club count on me in the long term. I feel that I managed to show what I can do in the season that has just ended. I also showed that I am a keeper that is up to the standards of Vidi. I hope that I can celebrate several nice successes with the club in the years to come. My aim is to win as many trophies as possible with Vidi. I also want us to do as well as we can on the international stage in Europe. It is also important that I can play as much as possible. I know that I will have to work hard, but I will do all I can to make sure that my name is on the Vidi starting eleven. I have recovered from my injury fortunately. I am looking forward to starting pre-season in full strength in June" - commented Adam Kovacsik after signing the new deal.
