The 52 year old has signed a one year contract and arrives from MTK.

Istvan Brockhauser was born in Budapest on the 3rd May 1964. He joined Ujpest at the age of 11 and started playing football with them. His first division debut came in the colours of Vac in 1987. Brockhauser moved back to Ujpest in 1988 and remained with them until 1992. He was also goalkeeper with Honved between 1992-1996. There was a short spell with Győr before moving abroad to Belgium, where he signed for Genk. He remained with them for 6 years and retired in 2004 at the age of 40 years old. Vidi's new goalkeeping coach won the Hungarian and Belgium domestic league championship twice with each club. He represented his country in 10 international games. He has also been goalkeeping coach with Ujpest, Honved and MTK.
"I would firstly like to thank my previous club MTK, who despite the fact that my contract with them was until the 30th June, did not place any barrier in the way of me moving to Vidi. Sport Director Zoltan Kovacs asked me to come and I said yes straight away. It is a really big thing to be able to be keeper coach at a club like Videoton. The expectations are very high, which is an extra motivation for me. Videoton FC are a club that wants to win everything, and I am the same as a goalkeeping coach. I really hope that we will have a successful season and I can play my part in the success. I want to make sure that the goalkeepers at the club perform to the level that the head coach and supporters expect" - commented Istvan Brockhauser to the Vidi website.
"Istvan played for several years in Belgium, and has a very serious career abroad behind him. That will help us a lot and his work as a coach will further strengthen us. He performed the same role in the last few years at Ujpest, Honved and MTK. We continue to search for the chances to develop further at our club, and I think that his arrival is part of this" - commented Zoltan Kovacs.
