Two Vidi players shared their thoughts following the Hungary - Russia friendly. Niko spoke about playing as part of a front two. Adam Simon also dedicated his first cap to someone special.

"Unfortunately I cannot be too happy for the goal I scored as we lost the match. We played against a very strong team, who are full of classic players. They found it easy to create chances, but we also tried our best to score goals. I felt that things went well for us in the second half, but we conceded two goals that could have been avoided. You also need to take in to consideration that our team during the second period was full of players who play nb1 football each week. We really did take a big gamble with the score at 0-2, and it paid off as we did score a goal. There were some positive signs in the match, and I feel that the team are heading in the right direction. I did not play as the lone forward, which was not unusual for me. I will honestly say that I prefer to play with another forward alongside me. Tamas Priskin did really well today on the pitch, and he tied down the defenders attention, leaving more room for me, and he also provided a really good assist" - commented Nemanja Nikolics to vidi.hu
"It was a fantastic feeling to be an international player. I have not fully taken it in, and this has been one of my main aims since childhood, which became a reality today. I am delighted! I was preparing over recent days so that I would come on against Russia. I got plenty of help from my team mates. They all helped me out there on the pitch even during the training camp. Despite the fact that we lost, this game will always be memorable for me. I am clear with the fact that I will need to give good performances for Vidi in the weeks to come if I am to be called up again for the national team. I would like to dedicate my first international cap to my father" - commented Adam Simon.
