What feelings do you have as you get ready to work as the new head coach of Videoton FC?

I am very pleased and dedicated. I believe that we can bring out the maximum from the team to produce a successful season! I believe in the team and the club.

What do they expect from you and what are your primary goals?

We have to develop our own characteristic style of play, which makes us different from the other teams. The players have to know what it means to play for Videoton FC, and produce 100% in both training and in matches! Naturally we will have to once again get to the point that the fans can feel that it is their club, and get behind the team and help. The results will come if this happens. 

You arrived in Szekesfehervar three years ago, spending more time here at Vidi than the majority of the squad. Do you feel at home here?

I feel really good in both the country and city, and I can even say that it feels better all the time. I can see on the employees at the club, with whom I meet each day, that they are pleased to be working in this project, and I also know that they acknowledge my work, and have faith in me, which is a great feeling. There is an excellent community, so I can calmly say that yes, I feel at home here.

What were the biggest experiences that you picked up last season?

I do not want to deal with the past, but instead build ahead for the future. There was a kind of change at the beginning of last season, and we started well, but then fell back towards the end of the year. There were things that were disappointing. We have to do everything to get to a stronger level, and we will be working on this with my colleagues. 

What results will you be satisfied with in one years' time?

The club is obviously expecting us to play to win each game, and this is what we will be doing. I want to see the fire in the players during matches and also in training. I want to see more determination than there was earlier. If both the team and the coaching staff does this, then we can calmly sit down to summarize next season. The results will show where the team is. 

Can you say anything concrete about the pre-season period and the squad?

There will be a training camp abroad and also training at home, but the exact timetable is currently being put together. I can also not give exact details yet about who will be arriving and which players will be leaving. However, there are sure to be changes to the playing squad. With regards to the players arriving, they can only be players that will represent quality additions, and also have a suitable mentality. They will not only have to meet the expectations of our club with their playing ability, but also as human beings.  

What is your message to the supporters?

I would like to ask from them to believe in us! I am clear with the fact about just how important Vidi is to them, but I would like to reassure them that we will do all we can to repay their faith. Putting together this team will not happen from one day to the next, which is why I ask them to remain patient, but I am sure that we will be successful together.
