The morning training started in the gym and continued on the training field on the first day of the training camp in Croatia.

Our team woke up to rainy weather on Monday morning in Novigrad, Croatia, where we will be training for almost two weeks until 20th January in preparation for the resumption of the league season at the end of January. The temperature in the port town of around 2,500 inhabitants is 10°C, with rain forecast for today, but from Tuesday onwards the weather is forecast to be less rainy and the sun will shine more.
The first day included two training sessions, from 10:30 and 15:00, on the training ground, which is only a five-minute walk from the hotel. Fortunately, the rain had stopped by mid-morning, although the ground was still very deep due to overnight rainfall.
The morning training session started in the gym of the hotel and continued on the training ground, where the coaching duo of Szabolcs Huszti and Gábor Toldi led the players in ball, coordination and running exercises. Two years ago, in January 2021, we had a training camp in the area, in Porec, less than 20 kilometres from Novigrad - the latter will be the venue for three of our preparation matches, and like two years ago, our opponents will include Croatian top flight NK Osijek.
Of course, our Norwegian midfielder Tobias Christensen, who was signed last Tuesday and is training with our team for the first time, also took part in the morning training session. This is the first training camp with our first team for Milan Pető and Olivér Cserkuti-Németh, as well as for our young goalkeeper Roland Gergely, who has replaced Martin Dala, who is at home with a virus infection.
The afternoon training session will focus on tactics, Tuesday morning will be spent relaxing and recovering, and in the afternoon we will head back to the nearby training ground - hopefully with the sunshine and less clouds in the afternoon.
