There are also former Vidi players in the playing squad of TVE District III and in the sports management.
On Sunday at 15:00 we will play in the next round of the MOL Hungarian Cup at the stadium of TVE III district. Our opponent is in the same division as Vidi II in the NB III league. The team from Óbuda has won four of the eight league rounds so far, drawing one and losing three, and are currently in sixth place in the 20-team Western Group with 13 points.
Several former Vidi players are in the squad of TVE III. Our former goalkeeper, Tamás Horváth has kept goal of the team from Budapest once so far this season, but he is now expected to be the goalkeeping coach, and András Fejes, Dávid Barczi and Bence Elek will also be in the team on Sunday.
Besides them, two players are also members of the current TVE III.
The sporting director of TVE III District is none other than Roland Juhász, the former captain and later coach of Vidi.
We have played six matches with the team from Óbuda so far in our history. In 1965 in the NB I/B we won once 3-0 and lost once 3-1. The next time we met TVE III. Kerületi in the 1996/97 season, we drew 0-0 away and 2-2 in Sóstó - both goals were scored by Zsolt Dvéri.
We last played District III TVE in the Professional National Championship in the 1998/1999 season, winning 5-0 at home and 2-1 away.
