The change became effective as of the 1st July 2018 with the team stepping up its performance.
Owner Istvan Garancsi announced at the end of June that Videoton FC would continue as MOL Vidi FC. Mol have been major sponsors of Vidi since 2010. The two sides agreed on a working relationship as of the 1st July that will see an even tighter relationship between the club and the company.
The clubs youth teams will also play under the name of MOL Vidi FC on top of the senior side. The change also applies to the clubs ladies side. MOL are the biggest company in Hungary. They are also one of the leading gas and oil groups in central and eastern Europe. Vidi are the current league champions of Hungary. MOL Vidi FC will be looking for even more serious successes that they can celebrate together with the supporters than ever before.
