There was a nice surprise on Friday morning for the Vidi players when they arrived for training. A giant sign with gold lettering greeted them. The players did not wait too long before taking hold of the wall of merit and signing their own names on it.

"I was really surprised when I arrived at the dressing room in the morning and looked up at the sign. I thought straight away back to the time three years ago when I first walked in to the dressing room and up on the ceiling read a sign "champions". I knew back then that one of things I most wanted to do was to one day sign my name on the next Vidi side to win the league. Now, three years later my dream has come true. I am very proud and however many times I walk in there, I will look up at the wall and think that it was all worthwhile. The many sacrifices and plenty of work put in gives us strength to work just as hard in the future, as this is such a fantastic feeling, which I would like to experience again" - commented Istvan Kovacs after signing his name on the wall of merit.
