How would you sum up the season just finished?

I am sad that the 2015-2016 league season was rhapsodic for us. At the same time we went from the bottom of the league table to finish second, which is a big step and good performance. We picked up very few points against the sides around the bottom. We could have easily be champions had we done better against those sides. I am still happy that we finished in second place.

What was the most memorable game for you over the season, where you thought that the team were capable of moving upwards?

I feel that there were several games during the season that gave us hope. Perhaps our 1-0 home win over Ferencvaros in the middle of April, gave us a big push for the final two games of the season. There were good games before that, but we could not always build on them, while we also did not always have the best of luck.

Did you think that the team would secure second place after the poor start to the season?

Naturally a person will always want more and more, but it was hard to think about that when we were in the position we were in. Back then we were only concerned about getting out of the bad form we were in. Second place only became more realistic later on, especially as we finished the autumn season in third place going in to the winter break.

How will you spend the rest period?

The first week was all about rest and completely switching off. I have now started the personal training plan to make sure that I am in good condition for the start of pre-season. I will not be travelling abroad but instead spend time with my family and friends.

How do you think the team will do in the Europa League?

I am looking for us to go several rounds, and even make the group stage and find our feet there. A good pre-season could make that aim realistic.
