Perhaps few people know that Wednesday's cup opponents were once a member of the first division. That came in the 1947-48 season, although they were not successful, recording just one win and a draw with 28 defeats during that campaign. However, the Testveriseg supporters are still proud of that achievment.
They are also proud of their team at the moment, having most recently won the Budapest cup, giving them the right to take part in the Hungarian cup, and a match against Videoton FC. There was no surprise that the tiny compact stadium was full with around 1000 supporters present.
The match started at a good tempo, with Alvarez twice hitting the post in a short period. The first goal arrived on 21 minutes through Oliveria, after some good link up play with Feczesin. The Portuguese player nicely curled the ball home (0-1). Alavarez then made no mistake four minutes later, doubling the lead with a nice goal (0-2). The third goal arrived just on half time following a corner. Chakla scored his first goal in Vidi colours and ensured that the visitors went in at the break with a three goal lead.
Joan Carrillo sent on Kovacs and young Vidi II talent, Dominique Vallejos at half time. Marco Caneira was on hand to make it 0-4 after 59 minutes with a headed goal. A good move resulted in Vallejos also finding the back of the net after 72 minutes to make it 0-5. The final result of 0-7 was thanks to a late double strike from Robert Feczesin, who scored on 81 and 85 minutes.
Vidi played confident football to comfortably go through to the next round of the Hungarian cup, with the draw taking place on Friday.

The Macedonian striker scored Vidi's goal last weekend in the home game with FTC.

The official from Veszprem refereed this season's league match against Haladas.

The two managers shared their thoughts shortly after the final whistle.

The Videoton manager also gave an insight into what kind of side he will play.

It is another busy week for the men in red and blue.

The first round draw was held on Monday afternoon at the Hungarian FA HQ.
