Sandor Egervari will count on the Vidi striker for the forthcoming qualifiers.

With Adam Szalai falling ill and Nemanja Nikolics on stand by, manager Sandor Egervari has called up the Vidi forward to the national squad. The Hungarian squad are preparing for their final two World Cup qualifiers, with Nikolics looking likely to make his first appearance for the national team. "I received the news unexpectedly, which I am very pleased about! I was not so pleased to hear that Adam Szalai has not recovered from his sickness, but this is how things have turned out. I will do all I can to help the international side achieve success. I will join up with the squad tonight, but I do not have too much time to get used to the others, with us playing on Friday against Holland. I do not have to say just how hard the game will be, likewise if I end up on the pitch, I will give 100% to help the side" - commented Niko to vidi.hu

The forward who is in explosive form spoke about them trying their best to win the next two away qualifiers, which would help win back the disappointed supporters.

Nikolics is just one goal behind the current Videoton club director in the goalscoring table.

The Vidi forward who has scored 11 goals in 9 games has been called up by national team boss Pal Dardai. Midfielder Adam Simon is another to be brought in making it a total of 5 Videoton players in the Hungarian squad.

Only Croatian player Kramaric has scored more goals than Nikolics. The Vidi forward is ahead in goals compared to World stars like C. Ronaldo, Diego Costa or Soriano. Former Vidi striker Goran Vujovics is also in the list of players among the goals.

Niko scored in his tenth consecutive league game and now has eleven goals to his name.

The forward has now scored 10 goals in 8 league matches and has also found the net in each league game this season.
