Videoton came from behind to win at Bajai LSE
Gyorgy Mezey : "The result was not a surprise, as I was expecting a comfortable win. This game taught us a lot, as our team switch up a gear from the moment keeper Sebok was sent off. We received a very important warning. We cannot let the game just run away even against weaker opponents. I feel that the players will have learned from today's game, and they will also know that they cannot play at half pace in any match. My side began playing at second division level today. However, we must always run out on to the pitch to play as if we were up against Real Madrid. As to what happens out of that, is a different question. I will say once more that we must learn from this, and take it seriously, but if we cannot solve this mental problem, than we will not reach the peak.”
Gyorgy Bognár : "I am upset but not because of the result, but because we did not play well. I was not too pleased with the way we were in the first half, although we had chances, and had a big chance for a penalty, which we then managed to miss. It would have been much harder for Videoton had that gone in. I could feel a big difference in the two teams, even in the first half. I thought Videoton were stronger, both in the way they played and also in their heads. They were quicker in certain areas of the game, and were dynamic in the way they solved their tasks. We were OK up front, but could not cope in midfield with them. We failed to bring the ball out of defence well. We also had problems with our defending. These were the main reasons why we went behind in the second half."
