Hungarian national team manager Marco Rossi named a larger than normal squad ahead of the summer tournament.

The Hungarian squad was named on Thursday shortly after midday. Marco Rossi and his squad will begin training and preparing for the summer European Championships. A total of 30 players were named according to the Hungarian FA official website.
To our great pride, the names of five Vidi players can be found on the list, in addition to our team captain, Nemanja Nikolic, Attila Fiola, Szilveszter Hangya, Loic Nego and the captain of the U21 national team, Bendeguz Bolla, will also be present with the national team.
Niko has represented the national team 37 times so far, scoring 8 goals, and in 2020 he was able to wear the captain's armband twice for the national team. Attila Fiola scored his first goal against Andorra after 34 caps this year - the two of them can prepare for their second European Championship, having been there in France five years ago.
Instead of the usual 23-man squad, the federations can submit 26-playing squad for the European Championships, the list of which must be sent to UEFA by 1st June. Following the training camp in Austria, the national team will play against Cyprus on June 4, then against Ireland on the 8th, and Marco Rossi's side will play against Portugal and France at the European Championships at the Puskas Arena and against Germany in Munich.
