Videoton drew 2-2 in a friendly game with Slaven Belupo at the weekend.

The break in the league season due to international friendly matches gave Marko Nikolic the chance to see his side in a friendly game with Croatian team Slaven Belupo. The opponents are 7th in their domestic league and the teams shared four goals in a 2-2 draw. Patrik Reti plays for Vidi's second side but he featured in Saturday's game as did Elvir Hadzic, who played a few minutes in the summer friendly match with Paks. Martin Takacs also made his debut for the senior side.
"I am pleased that I could play again after my debut for the first team last July. It was even more special that I played in an international friendly game. The match against Slaven Belupo was a very special one for me as I played together with my brother, Anel. It was a big dream come true for me. It was a proud moment that our parents could watch us together in a Vidi shirt playing for the first team. I would like to thank the club for giving me this chance. I will continue to work hard so that I can show what I can do if I am called upon" - commented Elvir Hadzic.
"It was a big surprise for me last Friday when they told me that I had to go and train with the first team. It was an even bigger surprise after training when they said I would be in the first team squad the following day to face Slaven Belupo. I was very excited Friday evening and I went through things inside my head a thousand times. I imagined what it would be like to play my first game for the first team of Vidi. I got around 15 minutes in Saturday's friendly. The feedback was positive and I also felt that I managed to do ok. It is a massive thing for me to play together with such footballers. I know that I still have lots of work ahead of me to reach the level where the current first team players are. This friendly game only strengthens within me the need to work hard every day" - commented Martin Takacs.
